This fully adjustable hood is the perfect attrition to your field coat or parka. Colored in the original OG-107, this hood is truly a vintage treasure. The hood visor is lined with wire so it can be customized for your head and won’t fall out of place.

These hoods were issued to US Troops and are used. Fur ruff may appear matted from laundering, and shaping wire may be partially exposed.

This hood features a synthetic fur lining and easily attaches to M-65 Field Jacket, M-65 Parka, or the older M-51 Parka. It features a drawstring and Velcro® closure. One size fits all.

It's huge!

I didn't do enough research, I realized after I received it that it's likely designed to fit over a helmet. Other than that I'm satisfied; it's in decent condition. The wire isn't exposed or broken, but it is very wrinkled throughout its length. The synthetic fur isn't matted but it also isn't as fresh, fluffy, or white like in the picture. The fabric and velcro's wear definitely shows it was used a lot, but everything is in tact and there are no holes or tears and the velcro still works well. Overall, due to its size I'll likely never use it, but I'm glad I ordered it; my vintage M-65 field jacket + liner + hood is now complete. Or maybe I still need to get the helmet liner too 😊

Fishtail hood

Got a Fishtail Parka forty years ago. Needed a hood. It gets cold up here smoking on the back porch. Keeps me warm. For some reason, I love the smell of the hood. Smells like an old warehouse somewhere. Thank you. Stephen.

Great prices

I've been wanting some good wool gloves and a nice wool beanie for a bit and I was able to get some for a good price and the parka hood for my field jacket was a cherry on top (and half the price than what I was looking at on eBay). If I get any more surplus items I'm definitely gonna consider ordering from McGuire again.
