Military sweater

My old sweater wore out after about 35 year. This new one is the size and color of the original but not the same yarn weight. The new sweater is significantly thinner, therefore less warm than the original sweater. Still looks good and provides warmth, just not as much as the older version.

Absolutely love this sweater

Vintage GI Wool 5 Button Sweater - Good but not perfect

I like this purchase but:
Size - This sweater runs VERY small. I typically wear small and the medium I ordered is tight on me. Also, the sleeves are short, and I have to keep stretching them down. However, the posting does say, "we recommend sizing up by at least one size.
Condition - Overall the condition is very good (looks new) except there's a knitted repair on the back of the sweater. It's possible this was a Quality Control repair during original manufacture, but it may be a used sweater with a good repair and otherwise in very good condition. McGuire says "Vintage from the 1960s" with no other statement of condition so I can't complain. I expect I'll order from McGuire again.

Vintage warmth

I'm very happy with this surplus sweater and look forward to wearing it this winter. It's warm, but not too bulky, and subdued, but stylish. I washed in cold water on delicate cycle and dried flat. Size does run small; glad I got a medium. Would buy again.
