The US Marine Corp strives for perfection, always demanding the perfect gear. Their demand for lightweight tough gear led them to develop the ILBE (Improved Load Bearing Equipment) system. One of the key elements in that system is the ILBE Rucksack. It is a full-sized rucksack made from multiple combined components, including the main pack, shoulder straps, dust lid, and the padded waist belt. Each of the parts can be replaced separately, as needed.
This hip-pad fits waists up to 54 inches. It is made from 720 denier Cordura nylon and has a Tan background and hardware (buckles and webbing). It was designed to displace weight to as much of the body as possible, lessening any individual stress point.
