The John Ownbey Leather G-1 US Navy Pilot's jacket is a military-style, leather cold-weather flight jacket.

Originally called the M-445 flight jacket, the leather G-1 jacket was first introduced for use in the US Navy in the 1930s. It replaced the existing Army Air Corps A-2 jacket as the standard jacket to be worn by US Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. After a brief cancellation in the late 1970s, the iconic jacket was returned during Desert Storm in the First Gulf War.
The John Ownbey G-1 jacket is made from goatskin leather with a 100% cotton lining. The jacket has a form-fitting cut, with waist webbing for a great fit. The bi-swing back allows for easier arm movement, and a mouton-style collar keeps you warm and comfortable. The two front pockets have a button closure.
