USN NWU Type 1 Utility Shirt

This blouse is made of a sturdy 50/50 nylon/cotton blend and features the US Navy emblem embroidered on the front. There are two front and two shoulder concealed button flap pockets, and a button-down front with five buttons.

This genuine issue US Navy shirt is part of the NWU, or Navy Working Uniform Type I.  This utility uniform is designed to accommodate male and female sailors and to fulfill multi-functional and geographical uniform requirement at sea and ashore in environments that do not require special or organizational clothing. The NWU Type I is intended for year-round wear and is the standard working uniform ashore. This uniform is sometimes referred to affectionately as “blueberries”.
