This mesh sniper veil is designed to conceal snipers and keep their locations hidden. They are also used to prevent their weapons from reflecting the suns glare. It can also be cut up into strips and used as additional ghillie suit material to add texture onto your suit. The fabric is very soft and breathable, and wicks sweat away. This net is in the 6 color desert/ chocolate chip camouflage.

So like you, my first thought was how heavy when wet? I live in the desert and it just rained for three days. So the first real rain all year, but still! I rinsed it in my ivory white tub and got a pretty fair color bleed out in cold water. Second rinse far less so. Not cotton, it doesn't get too heavy and being mesh shakes out better than wringing out. Doesn't hold too much water. Dries easily ...when not raining. Minus 1 star for color bleed, rinse in cold water to "fix" the dyes. Also pretty thin, you'll want to double it up, so halve the sizing. Should work well to distort overall shapes. NOT BUG NET.

awesome piece of kit

I hung this in our HS athletes' Garage gym to give it some character! Small & light when folded i can also use this in the bush for bugs when need be.

Awesome Sniper Veil

Bought this netting to see if it will keep my rifle from getting to hot in the searing Arizona sun and for some tacticool points. Haven't been able to use it yet because fire restrictions so no target shooting. The sniper veil is well made and large enough to cover my Bushmaster 50 BMG and the upper half of my body. I will definitely buy this again soon in the other colors.
