40mm Ammunition Carrying Vest

This vest was issued during the Vietnam Era; it was designed to give the grenadier the capability of carrying enough quantity of ammunitions. The pockets are divided into 24 individual compartments, 20 for carrying 40 mm high explosive and 4 for carrying 40 mm pyrotechnic type cartridges. This vest also features a front snap button closure reinforced with a Velcro fastener tape and strap pinch buckles on sides and back for adjustment.
