The M65 field jacket shielded soldiers from the elements throughout the Vietnam War and beyond. Due to the introduction of the ECWCS layering system, it was recently phased out. This commercial one has useful features that sets it apart from other field jackets. There is a hideaway hood which easily zips into the collar, extra pockets for holding your gear, adjustable sleeves with Velcro straps, and stylish shoulder epaulets.

I bought a field jacket that my son loves! waterproof and windproof, nice comfortable with plenty of pockets. perfect fit, now I'm going to purchase some boots.. durable and comfortable !!!!
Just a great great jacket ! First rate quality all over. Easy 5 stars.
It was very high quality and nice. The jacket was a bit large but I’ll grow into it.
Nice jacket for the price. I don't know if the polyester/cotton fabric is cheaper than the nylon/cotton and whether that is still spec and it's missing the cuff extensions on my old M65. What I really miss are the huge chest pockets on the first gen M65s. You could slip a couple of paperback books or a pint bottle of bourbon in without a problem. To be honest the new ECWS jackets keep you dryer/warmer and weigh less (thanks to Natick for all the hard work). But there is still nothing like a real M65. Iconic is overused but in this case it is deserved. So turn up that collar and dare to go down those mean streets.
Bought it in black, I've never been fond of green - or camo. Other than that, feels and looks the same as my Air Force issue did, ages ago. I only wish they had XXL. If they did, I would swap. The XL coat is close to perfect, but I have not yet washed it. So... that's gonna be interesting. Hopefully not tragic. I would HATE to give this to someone else!
