Stay warm and look stylish in this classic CWU 45/P fight jacket from Alpha Industries. The CWU-45P was originally issued to USAF and Navy pilots and was made of a fire-retardant material for protection. This one is made of a blend of nylon and polyester and has a thicker fill, ribbed knit cuffs and collar to keep you snug. The front of the jacket has a full  zipper closure with storm flaps to ensure the perfect insulation.

Alpha Industries created these jackets for cold weather use for US military police, shore patrols and police forces across North America. Recently, MP-TEX® has been converted to civilian peacetime use. This unique fabric, developed from a super smooth nylon/rayon blend is wind and water resistant, impervious to stains, tear proof and virtually indestructible.

Alpha Industries started manufacturing a CWU 45-P for the military in 1995 and went on to make them for more than five years. They made this nylon version of the CWU 45/P for the commercial market in recent years due to the popularity of the jacket

i got it to replace a Smoke Rise nylon flight jacket of the M1-A style. This nylon / rayon blend on the shell is much tougher, warmer but not as soft and flexible so it tends to ride up my back a little, unlike the first one because that has side zips to open it up and was so much more flexible. The size is exactly the same in the M. I expect this issue to get better as it breaks in and i learn to stand up straight ,so its definitely a keeper, its perfect for even the coldest temps of our mild winter in southern California. I give it all the stars just beware of the riding up, you might want to get a size bigger. I am 5 9 will a longish back , size M. arms are perfect for my normal length arms, size 37 R
