The night camouflage pattern was originally designed to evade detection from night vision devices. This parka has a button front, drawstring hood, and pass-through pockets for easy access to clothing underneath. The Night Desert (DNC) pattern effectively camouflages the wearer in fields, forests, marshes, and other outdoor areas.

This parka is used although the condition is very good, it might still show signs of moderate wear and age.

Exactly what I was expecting

Easily the best price out of all the internet military surplus sites out there by a solid $20. The parka came in under a week from ordering it. Upon opening the package it was apparent that someone took the time to wash and neatly fold the parka as best as it was possible. You have to understand that you are buying surplus items… my parka was a tad bit broken in and the color was SLIGHTLY faded (honestly it wasn’t even noticeable once I wore it with the DNC pants). Most importantly there were no tears, all the strings were where they should be, and it did not smell like a GI returning back to base after a desert patrol. Would definitely recommend. Sure you could try a different site and pay extra, but are you absolutely sure you’re paying more for an item that was never issued?

Very Cool

It came in relatively good condition for its age. Not faded, with all the drawstrings. There were a few small holes that were sewn over, but these were done well and I didn’t actually even notice them initially as they actually look like the splotches of the uniform. The elastic on the wrists and elsewhere existed, but was pretty worn out and not very effective. This parka runs large. I typically wear size large shirts, but got this in medium. Glad I did, as there is still plenty of room, the parka going down to mid-thigh. All in all, a neat piece of history that doubles as a cool jacket.
