Great boots and quite the deal on price too !! $99 !! I worry about the age of the boot, march 2012 mfg date, so 10 years old already ! no worries about the leather or cordura cloth but the rubber soul?hmmm, ozone deteriorates rubber and being 10 YO, I'm concerned about the sole holding up long term !? if i had known the age of the boots before purchasing, I probably would not purchased them, I'd rather pay more and get a newer pair. but the ad never mentioned the age of the product..but for $99? great deal !!
Myself a civilian I've had a few pairs of combat boots over the years. This is the first pair that doesn't really need breaking in nor blisters and cuts on my feet. I haven't tried them for water resistance, but I have found them to be very comfortable and warm on long walks. The only complaint is the sizing, I researched these over the past summer and found reviews on other sites that stated they run small and they do. A 10W is what a 9-1/2 regular used to be, luckily I new this. Very problematic for mail orders. Dimensional shoes like dimensional lumber? Or are they adopting some foreign standard that we all have to deal with? Foot binding that's what it is. In spite of that I would definitely order these again.
