The GI ECW Bunny Boots with Valve are Genuine U.S. Military Issue extreme cold-weather boots rated to -65°F — the "Bunny Boot" is Mickey Mouse Boots' colder-rated cousin. New and never issued. Waterproof sealed rubber construction with thick wool-and-felt insulation between the layers. Pressure valve for high-altitude use. NSN 8430-00-655-5550. Made in USA.

About the Name

The "Bunny Boot" nickname comes from the snowshoe hare — an Alaska rabbit whose fur turns white in winter for camouflage. In the fall, hunters started seeing snowshoe hares appearing with new white "boots" — the same white the ECW cold-weather boot is issued in.

About the Valve

The pressure valve is for airborne / high-altitude use only. Do NOT open the valve on the ground — moisture entering the insulation reduces warmth.

Well-suited for arctic operations, extreme-cold hunting and ice fishing, snowmobiling, backcountry skiing, high-altitude work, and any activity in sub-zero temperatures where the -20°F Mickey Mouse Boot isn't enough.
