Men's Authentic Wool Blend Peacoat

Oh yeah. So I bought (and reviewed) a Navigator Peacoat, all wool, black, last month and I love it despite it being bigger than expected (ordered my suit size). Decided to take a leap of faith and ordered an OD green Authentic, sized down to 34L. I’m a 38” chest, 5’8”, kinda narrow shoulders- this one fits like it was tailor-made for me. I couldn’t wear it over a chunky fisherman’s sweater, for example, but over a snug woolly pully and base layer I can move just fine, and it looks so good over an oxford. The shell seems to be the same gauge as the all-wool Navigator model (24 oz.) but the blend makes it a little softer. Acetate satin lining goes throughout with a fine poly-fleece yoke around just the upper chest and back, makes it very warm and slightly heavier than the Navi model. Materials all seem to be of high quality and the workmanship is to match- I think this coat is well worth more than the asking price here.
Thanks to Frank’s review below, 1/19/26, I had to take a chance on the OD color. I’ve wanted an olive green peacoat for a while, there’s just not much out there to choose from. The photos here online don’t do the color justice. It’s the army green equivalent of the OG navy blue, dark enough that you might mistake it for black under low light. Rich, deep, beautiful. If you like green, of course.
A final note- I placed my order on a Sunday eve and by Tuesday morning it was in USPS’s hands and trackable, and in my hands that Friday. I’m very happy with the product and the service.

I have a Schott navy blue peacoat that I bought many years ago in San Francisco but those are very expensive now. I actually wore it going to sea. And needed it. But I wanted an Olive green Peacoat and this fit the bill nicely and didn’t cost an arm and a leg. It is just a basic nicely built coat. The Olive drab is very dark and rich and the wool is nice and warm. Was concerned it wouldn’t be big enough to layer under but that was unfounded. It’s plenty big enough. Over all I am very pleased with this purchase.
