The G.I. ECWCS Gen III Level 5 Soft Shell Pants are designed as a lightweight outer layer for moderate to cold weather conditions. Part of the U.S. Army Extended Cold Weather Clothing System (ECWCS), these trousers can be worn over a base layer, insulation layers, or a standard uniform to provide added protection from wind and light moisture.

Made from a 98% nylon / 2% Lycra stretch fabric, these pants provide water and wind resistance while allowing a good range of movement. The low-bulk design makes them practical for extended outdoor use without the weight of heavier cold-weather outerwear.

The pants feature cargo and hip pockets, a zip fly with storm flap, belt loops, adjustable waist and cuffs, reinforced knees and seat, and lower-leg zippers that make them easier to put on and remove while wearing boots.
